The Original Gangster.....Nudie, The Rodeo Tailor

Nudie.....the first man to put rhinestones on clothing. A genius in my mind. They call him the rhinestone cowyboy. My kind of man. It all began in the 1930's. Born in Russia but a cowboy at heart. Nudie decided to be a tailor. And a darn good one at that. Here is how the story goes....he started by making g-strings for exotic dancers in New York. Before long he was making clothes for Elvis and Roy Rodgers. He worn rhinestone suits and unmatched boots. He was the grand master flash of the 40's. And hence Glitz was born! So every time you see a rhinestone or embellishment, remember, it's a part of history. So look to the sky and thank Nudie, the rhinestone rodeo tailor.
